REFLECTION
Experience
Over the past 14 weeks, the various projects and exercises have collectively enriched my understanding and skills in video production, teamwork, and technical proficiency.
From Week 3's collaborative exercises to the final solo project, each experience has offered unique learning opportunities. The group activities, such as the Excel breakdown and sound effects research, fostered a strong sense of teamwork and improved communication skills. Working together allowed us to enhance our understanding of course material through peer interaction and collaborative problem-solving.
Week 4's Sound Dubbing project was a significant milestone in improving audio editing skills. The challenge of synchronizing voice dubbing and sound effects taught me to use tools like pitch shifters effectively. This hands-on activity was both demanding and rewarding, significantly enhancing my technical capabilities in audio editing.
In Week 5, the "Everything Everywhere All at Once" project introduced me to color correction using Adobe Premiere Pro. This experience was not only fun but also crucial in developing my skills in creating visually appealing content through precise adjustments in color balance, exposure, and filters.
Week 6 TikTok assignment presented a new challenge as it pushed me to create engaging short-form content for a platform I was unfamiliar with. The learning curve was worthwhile, as I gained valuable insights into social media content creation, including the use of filters, music, effects, and in-app editing tools.
Finally, working on the solo Final Project Stop Motion video, "Paws Of Destiny," was a significant learning experience. It highlighted the importance of preparation, attention to detail, and the integration of multimedia elements. The project reinforced the value of patience and meticulous planning in creating compelling stop-motion animation.
Observation
Several observations I have found out throughout these weeks. Collaborative exercises highlighted the importance of effective communication and teamwork in achieving project goals. Peer interactions provided diverse perspectives and solutions.
Each project, from sound dubbing to color correction, emphasized the importance of technical skills. Learning to use various tools and software effectively was crucial for achieving desired outcomes.
Projects like the TikTok assignment and stop-motion video required creative approaches to overcome challenges. Experimenting with different techniques and solutions was essential for success.
Findings
Several key findings from these 14 weeks. Detailed planning and thorough preparation significantly enhance project efficiency and quality. Having all materials and resources ready beforehand leads to smoother execution.
