Intercultural Design Final Reflection:

Throughout this semester, I have gleaned a wealth of knowledge from this module. For example, I have delved into Japanese culture, the differences between Japanese and Malaysian packaging. I've discovered that various countries employ distinct elements in their design aesthetics.

I have been really excited by the idea of visiting Japan during this class. It's been very informative and entertaining. I don't get many opportunities to go to different nations, so I consider this one to be really meaningful. In this trip I went to Osaka Castle, Universal Studio Japan and many different temple. We went to Kyoto and wear the kimono too. It is so cute! Me and my friends have so much fun. But in the middle of all the excitement, we discovered that we had to stick to a strict schedule for gathering data, which unfortunately limited our freedom to thoroughly experience the locations we went.

One of the most significant lessons I've learned is the importance of stepping out of our comfort zones, exemplified by our interactions with strangers in Japan. We engaged in conversations with locals to gain insights into their Yokai culture. Upon returning to Malaysia, we meticulously compiled our data and embarked on our final project, where I acquired a new skill: Stop Motion. Using this technique, we crafted a captivating Yo Bento commercial video that surpassed my expectations.

As the semester draws to a close, I've noticed that I'm more sensitive to the little differences in packaging design between cultures. My experiences in Japan walk through its streets and museum in Japan showed the meticulous attention to detail that is inherent in Japanese design culture. This is the best subject I have study.
